Fridays at 10.00 - 11.30am during term-time at St Mary's Church rooms. A warm welcome for all families with pre-schoolers. Babies and toddlers welcome. Lots of free play for children - time for Mums, Dads, grandparents, childminders to chat over tea or coffee. Snack time of fruit and breadsticks then playdough / craft / ball or parachute play.

MOOS is a facebook community for parents in Overton. Dads, grandparents are welcome, too.MOOS is a space for giving and sharing information about what's going on in the village that's relevant to our members, whether that's information on local businesses, buying and selling items, looking for recomendations for a plumber or discussion with other parents on what's the best scooter to buy for your child. MOOS aims to be friendly and accessible, and there's always someone prepared to answer questions or give advice.

Venue: various homes around Overton and Whitchurch. Often on a Monday or Thursday morning 10.00am-12.00noon. Drop in coffee morning for expectant mums, new mums and carers of small children. A chance to meet other local mums, make new friends, get advice and information about becoming a mum in Ovderton. Have someone else make you acuppa and get out of the house which can be a challenge all by itself in the early days. the group can signpost you to professional support if needed.
Overton Preschool Playgroup has been in the heart of Overton for over 30 years and some of the parents bringing their own children here today also spent time here as children. Playgroup has an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report.
It has two settings – a Playgroup based in the village Community Centre and a second setting based at Overton Primary School, dedicated to children in their pre-school year.
We are a charity, registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales and we are run by a voluntary parent management committee. We are passionate about providing quality care and education to local children through a team of professionally qualified and experience staff.

Term-time only. 8.50-11.30am. £1 per family. For adults with babies and toddlers. The first hour coffee, tea, juice and toast is provided. Later on drinks and fruit.There's lots of toys to play with and ride on, a craft table where we draw, paint and make things. Around 11.00 we have a visit from the Vicar and his guitar for a short Bible story and songs. the morning finishes with a chance for the children to let off steam, as the room is cleared and we get lots of balls out.
